Spiritbeads Panda and Bamboo Release

Today Beadsaholic brings a review of the new release from Spiritbeads Panda and Bamboo!

In 2014 the official count for Pandas were only 1864 remaining on our entire planet. In honor of the Pandas and to spread awareness of their vulnerable status Spiritbeads is releasing a Limited-Edition Panda, only 1864 pieces will be released. Furthermore, Spiritbeads will be donating from the sale of the Panda beads to WWF to support the protection of endangered animals like the Panda.

I love the Spiritbeads Panda and Bamboo with Ogerbeads Earth, Marble, Trollbeads Willow Twigs and Redbalifrog Australian Gum Leaves.

Spiritbeads Panda is a beautifully detailed panda that looks as though he is hanging onto the bracelet. Panda measures approximately 16.40 mm high x 12.21 mm wide and retails for €55, price includes vat.

I think just the Panda and bamboo beads together look beautiful.

Spiritbeads Bamboo is not limited-edition and is a really cool bead that is three pieces of bamboo creating a triangle. This bead makes the perfect spacer! Bamboo measures approximately 14.07 mm high x 6.89 mm wide and retails €45, price includes vat.

Pandas are vegetarians and they eat Bamboo, so Spiritbeads will be offering both beads in a set.  You can purchase Panda & Bamboo Set for €90, price includes vat.

The Spiritbeads Panda and Bamboo go perfectly with beads from the Trollbeads Kimono set. The Bamboo make the perfect end cap next to the stopper.

I love the panda with the Trollbeads Uniques Koi Pond, too.

And of course, Panda’s go perfectly with black and white beads!

One to two Bamboos together with the Panda along with Ohm Beads Mint-Wish and Spring Refractions!

I adore these Trollbeads Uniques paired with the Spiritbeads Panda, Bamboo and Redbalifrog Australian Gum Leaves.

You cannot always see all the details in photos, so I’m including a video of the just Panda and Bamboo beads.

Over all, I totally love this release. I adore the Panda and the Bamboo is such a unique design. I have styled it here on the bangle as this will be the way I wear it the most, but I think it would look fantastic in a bracelet with Asian themed beads or an animal theme. I will have to play with these ideas and share on social media! Both beads are a nice size, weight and honestly a great price for the heavy detailed bead you will receive.

If you would like to order either of these beads or the set you may do so at the following banner link below! Star Bijou offers vat free shopping for those of us outside of Europe.

As always, I love hearing from you all and would love to read your thoughts on this release, so leave me a comment below!

XO,

Paula

    • Are they not the cutest? I love them. I want to try them in a few more compositions, but didn’t have a lot of time to play. I love that they are such a nice weight and size.

  1. I was so excited when I saw the title – I’m always on the look out for a Panda bead. I grew up four blocks from the National Zoo in D.C. and loved to watch Ling-Ling and Hsing-Hsing and have continued to be enchanted by the Giant Pandas. I know I’m being picky but have yet to find a a Giant Panda bead that really captures them for me, unfortunately this one isn’t it. But I do applaud them giving a portion of the sales to the WWF! I am tempted by the bamboo – a pair would be very nice. Not yet sure though as pricey. Thanks for posting all about them and for all the great pics.

    • Thank so much. I think that is my favorite composition out of all the ones I tried this morning. I really need to pick up a couple of the bamboo glass from Trollbeads, too to wear with the bamboo and panda. I really love the design of the bamboo, I think they can be used on quite a few different themes.

  2. Great beads and what I REALLY love is that such a symbol is chosen and money is donated to WWF! That is what I always thought with other bead companies – why not donate a bit for an organisation if you use such a motive … GREAT SPIRIT BEADS! The way to go!!
