Ohm Beads We Learn As We Age Review

Today Beadsaholic brings a review of Ohm Beads We Learn As We Age!

I was excited to receive Ohm Beads We Learn As We Age an exclusive from Pianeta Beads as it’s such a fantastic design. This bead resembles a pocket watch on one side and a compass on the other. If you missed the preview you can see it here. We Learn As We Age is the event bead for Ohm Beads Event Salerno in Italy coming up on September 29, 2018 through September 30, 2018. If you are in Italy and would like to attend this event visit Pianeta Beads event page on Facebook <click here> for more details. During the event there will be not only this exclusive bead, there will be a large assortment of Ohm Beads including Ohmniques.

“With time you acquire the experience to find the right direction.”

Ohm Beads We Learn As We Age is truly a beautiful bead. As you will see in the following photos there is just so much detail in this bead and is truly a work of art, the photos speak for themselves! We Learn As We Age is a nice size bead measuring approximately 15.93 mm high x 13.53 mm wide, weighs 5 grams and retails for €79, price includes vat.  Please note, that this bead comes in a sealed blind bag and there are two finishes silver and dirty. However, for those who don’t like dirty there is a much greater chance of getting silver as there are only 222 dirty finish and 666 silver finish with a total of 888 beads.

Here in the first photos you will see that there are a lot of details from the watch hands, the inner workings of the watch, roman numerals, the top you see the crown and ring that the pocket watch would hang from.

On the opposite side is a compass that includes the beautiful compass rose.

I love the detailing that goes around the sides of the watch. Reminds me of waves.

Here you can see the ring and crown a bit better.

In the next two photos I have included with the We Learn As We Age the LOVE bead and Love Whirls (collection edition) for a better size comparison.

I of course had to wear the compass side of We Learn As We Age on talk like a pirate day! I paired it with the Ohm Beads Night Skies, Ohmnique and the beautiful Flying Dutchman on a Dirty Bangle.

As you can see the We Learn As We Age really stands out beautifully. Here I have created a bracelet with Ohm Beads glass and slivers on a retired bracelet.

I really love We Learn As We Age as a focal with any beads of your choice. Here I have paired this bead with some cute beads from Ogerbeads on a Trollbeads Bangle.

Either side is beautiful and meaningful!

All the photos above were taken outdoors below photos I have taken indoors in a light box.

Here I have used We Lean As We Age again as a focal with Ohm Beads Unicorny, Dark Soul, WORD beads F#@K and LOVE.

I really adore the We Learn As We Age with Ohm Beads Love Grows, Love Whirls, Dragons Breath and Love Yourself.

Here I have used We Learn As We Age as a focal with a few new Trollbeads. I love this composition as it looks old and elegant.

Perfect for when the clock strikes midnight during the masked ball. I think this would be cute for Mardi Gras or even New Year’s Eve party!

Wrist Shots!

Happy talk like a pirate day. Ahoy, Maties!

Here is one of my favorite ways to wear the new Ohm Beads We Learn As We Age. I think it looks great on the dark leather and I have been wearing it this way the last few days.

I’m also including the unboxing video I shared on social media last week, so that you can see the cute box and insert that is included with the bead.

Over all, I personally love this bead, it’s a good size with lots of detailing and I think it can be worn in any composition. For many of us it will hold special meaning.

If you would like to shop for this bead you may do so at the following banner link. Pianeta Beads offers vat free shopping for those of us outside of Europe and free shipping for those who reside in Europe. Please note, that this bead is available as a pre-order and will begin shipping on October 2, 2018.

  1. Oooo, love it. I tentatively plan to wear it with Soul Warrior and 2 Green Cracks. This assemblage would be more for personal meaning than appearance. I think I’d prefer it Dirty (on a Dirty bracelet), but I’m happy either way.

Thanks for the heads-up regarding the Pianetta event.

  2. The silver version looks fantastic. I got my bead yesterday, and it is the dirty version 😦 It loses so much detail when it is completely oxidized. I might try cleaning it with a silver polishing cloth, but I guess it won’t be easy to get a good result, considering the amount of small details. Or I try accepting the fact that “everything happens for a reason”…

    • Yes! Clean it with a cloth, I used a cloth to add some silver detailing to my Flying Dutchman and I really like how it turned out. I’d leave some of the oxidation in the groves. Lay your cleaning cloth on a towel on a table, so that when you push he bead across the cleaning cloth you can apply pressure, it will come off faster this way.
