Review: Trollbeads Adventure Begins – Travel

Today Beadsaholic brings a review of Trollbeads Adventure Begins.

Since receiving the Autumn collection, I have played and taken quite a few photos. This collection isn’t really themed for Autumn and can be used in many different compositions throughout the year. Whether you travel or just love, trains, planes, automobiles or hot air balloons, then I think you will like this collection. I personally liked that Trollbeads went with vintage designs which remind me of old movies. Also, being the mother of boys the travel silvers remind me of toys that my oldest son had as a child and my youngest son still has in his toy box. So, the compositions could be endless and rather creative. You could create a vacation bracelet using the travel beads or you could add them to your Christmas bracelet as symbolism of toys for your children or toys from your childhood.

In the launch article I have photos of these beads at different angles see it here.

In the full bracelet photos, I have used much of the new release. I really love the glass and stone beads from this release.

In the sun! The Festival Glass if my favorite from the glass release! I love it so much, I’m ordering a second.

Trollbeads Vintage Airplane Can be worn a couple of different ways as you will see in the following two photos, which I think is rather cool. This bead from the nose of the plane to the tail measures approximately 14.10 mm high x wing to wing 14.40 mm wide and top to bottom 11 mm deep. Vintage Airplane retails for $45 / €45, price include vat.

All glass and stone are a standard size, ranging around 14 mm x 7 mm.

Trollbeads Automobile reminds me of the vintage car used in some of the TV/ Movies like The Munsters and Addams Family. This bead can also be worn two different ways and measures approximately 9.31 mm top of the car to the bottom of the wheels, front to back bumper 9.71 mm and door to door 5.81 mm. Automobile retails for $45 / €45, price include vat.

Trollbeads Drift Away Kit retails for $175 / €175 or individually $35 / €35

Trollbeads New Adventures faceted kit retails for $275 / €275 or individually $55 / €55

European prices include vat.

Trollbeads Oldschool Suitcase is in remembrance of an old-styled leather suite case. Like other beads in this release it can be worn in two different directions, like on the bangle below or top to bottom which turns the suitcase sideways. This bead measures approximately 7.43 mm top to bottom x 10.05 mm wide. Oldschool Suitcase retails for $45 / €45, price include vat.

Trollbeads Locomotive reminds me a lot of one of Trollbeads museum designs, which gives it an old school Troll feel to it. This would work perfectly on a Christmas bracelet as a toy train! This bead measures approximately 10.02 mm high x 13.78 mm wide. Locomotive retails for $45 / €45, price include vat.

Trollbeads Air Balloon is my favorite of the travel beads. As a kid I always loved to go to the balloon glows and watch hot air balloons as they lift off into the sky. This bead can be worn multiply ways and makes a great splitter on a Fantasy Necklace. This bead measures approximately 17.50 mm from the top of the balloon to the bottom x 12.10 mm wide. Air Balloon retails for $45 / €45, price include vat.

Wrist Shot!

Over all, if you are curious about this release, then I hope you find this review article helpful. I have truly enjoyed playing with these beads and am looking forward to using them in Christmas themes. The glass beads will be great for winter months.

  1. when I first saw the collection I thought of 2 movies. ” throw mama from the train” which all the beads plus mothers day glass beads would be funny. then I thought of the Steve Martin Movie { planes trains and automobiles} and thought of the Blue jacket John Candy word and the Thanksgiving dinner at the end. Thought blue beads and tom the dead from Ohm with them. I just have a twisted thought process/ still funny though, I really do love the collection and have 2 of them so far.
