Review: Trollbeads Art To Go

Today Beadsaholic brings a review of Trollbeads Art to go!

Recently I received the Trollbeads Art to Go bracelet set from Trollbeads Gallery and I must say that this is my favorite bracelet set I have from Trollbeads. However, I’m partial as I’m an art lover, anything that has to do with art makes my day.

I am also including some favorite quotes from artist through out this article, hope they inspire you as much as they do me.

Trollbeads Art to Go is a fantastic limited-edition set that includes an artist lock, artist bead, bracelet and your choice of unique. Trollbeads Gallery offers a wide variety of unique beads to choose from. The Artist bead measures approximately 12 mm high x 5.15 mm wide, the Artist lock measures approximately 24.21 mm long x 10.50 and the bracelet comes in sizes 14 cm through 24 cm. Each starter set retails at a discounted price of $99.

The Artist look is such an amazing design. As you will see in the next few photos, the lock is made up of two paint tubes with paint squirting out to create the lock.

“We don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents.- Bob Ross”

“The only time I feel alive is when I’m painting – Vincent Van Gogh”

“I am always doing what I cannot do yet. In order to learn how to do it. – Vincent Van Gogh”

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up”. Pablo Picasso”

The Artist Bead is a triangular bead consisting of a paint brush and two pencils.

“To draw, you must close your eyes and sing. – Pablo Picasso”

“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life – Pablo Picasso”

“Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it. – Warhol”

In this composition I went with all Trollbeads and the featured artist is Vincent Van Gogh, my favorite! This bracelet represents some of his most famous paintings like Starry Night with the shades of yellow and blue Trollbeads glass, I have also included the Trollbeads Starry Night silver beads, and Trollbeads Stardust to recreate the Starry Night theme. Also, on this bracelet I have included Trollbeads Van Gogh Sunflowers, Trollbeads Skeleton Spirit to represent the few skeleton paintings and Trollbeads lilies to represent Van Gogh’s Marsh with Water Lilies.

This photo shows the beautiful glass beads in the sunlight.

Here they are in the shade.

I also had a little fun and added in some art beads from other brands. Honestly this is the way I’ll wear this bracelet most often. I’m sure I’ll add more artist beads in as time goes on, or at least that is my dream!  In this bracelet I have included all glass beads from Trollbeads Northern Lights Magic, Unqiues, Royal Shimmer, Wishful Sky and Festival. Silvers on this bracelet are Trollbeads The Kiss (Klimt), Trollbeads Starry Night, Trollbeads Stardust, Trollbeads Pursuit of Happiness, Trollbeads Van Gogh Sunflowers, Cristy Cali We Are All Creators Artist Palette, Lundd Denmark The Scream along with the Art to Go set.

Here is an up-close collage of the bracelet above.

 Wrist Shots!

“If you hear a voice within you say, ‘You cannot paint’, then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced. – Vincent Van Gogh”

Over all, I think that this is a must have bracelet set for anyone who loves the arts or dabbles a bit themselves. I personally plan to dedicate this bracelet to art themed compositions and I know it will be a staple in my collection.

  1. You know I love this bracelet, Paula! I styled mine similarly, with Trollbeads glass and assorted silvers to represent various artworks. And I’ve gotten a second Art To Go set so I can frequently play with art themes. I’m thinking about Monet’s garden at Giverny next. And then Escher’s densely detailed and hypnotic prints.

    • A second bracelet is a fantastic idea and I may need to get a second as well. I love the idea of having one to use to create and recreate different works of art. I look forward to seeing these designs on social media! If I miss them, be sure to tag me! I can’t wait to see them.
