Elfbeads Introduction and a Partial Mother’s Day Collection Review

Today Beadsaholic brings an Elfbeads introduction and a review of some of the Mother’s Day collection.

Great news, I am excited to announce that as of today I will be covering Elfbeads reviews and promotional news here on Beadsaholic! For those who may not know the brand, Elfbeads create stunning works in both glass, sterling silver and now brass plated in 18k gold. The company created by Paul Krans in 2013 and launched world-wide in 2014. Since their arrival they have been successful in creating beautiful and unique glass and silver beads, also have introduced a smaller bead design Elfpetite and are available in retailers around the world.

Today my focus is on six beads from the recent Limited-Edition Mother’s Day release that consisted of a total of six glass designs and eleven brass plated in 18k gold, the brass designs are popular designs previously released in sterling silver. I am also showing one stone from a previous release.

Elfbeads Mystic Tripetual has a base color of pink, with six beautiful flower designs in an ambery-yellow, brown with a hot pink outline and buds. This beautiful bead measures an average of 15 mm high x 7 mm wide and retails for $31 / €28 /DKK 210.

All European prices include vat.

Elfbeads Tiger Eye World is a limited-edition orb shaped genuine Tiger Eye stone in hues of brown and a golden flash of amber. The tiger eye is not part of the mother’s day release, but I find that it matches the Mystic Tripetual perfectly. This bead measures approximately 13.78 mm high x 13.97 mm wide and retails for $33 / €30.

In this first composition I have included Elfbeads Mystic Tripetual, Tiger Eye World, Everscale, Inner Star with Redbalifrog Brass stoppers on a Trollbeads 18K Gold plated Twisted Bangle.

Look how beautiful these beads look in the sun.

Elfbeads Everscale BGP is a stunning textured matte design that spirals around the bracelet or bangle. I have admired this design in silver for some time now and am happy to see those who love the color of gold, can now enjoy this bead without the high cost. This bead composed of brass with 18k gold plating, measures approximately 16 mm high x 13.92 mm wide and weighs 2.4 grams. Everscale BGP retails for $31 / $28 / DKK210.

Elfbeads Inner Star BGP Is a beautiful star wheel that looks as though the stars are shooting out. This bead would be awesome in pairs on a bangle! This bead is composed of brass plated in 18k gold, measuring approximately 14.33 mm high x 3.30 mm wide and weighs 1.7 grams. Inner Star BGP retails for $31 / €28 / DKK210.

When gold-plated is introduced into a collection I tend to hear feedback on social media about the beads looking too brassy. So, I wanted to give you all a comparison photo of Elfbeads brass 18k plated gold next to genuine solid gold necklace and pendant. Please note that Elfbeads Everscale is a textured matte bead so it will give a slightly different look as it doesn’t reflect as much light as the polished pieces. As you can see these pieces are close in color.

NOTE: This photo below was taken indoors for a quick comparison and all other photos from this article were taken outdoors.

Elfbeads Magnolia Love Layers is a beautiful bead with a navy base and what looks to be flakes of glitter, then a clear glass layer with pink growing pink hearts on top. This bead measures an average of 14 mm high x 7 mm wide and retails for $31 / €28 / DKK210.

Elfbeads Nebula Twilight is a beautiful bead with a pink glass core encased in a lavender clear glass with traces of silver throughout. This bead has a neon glow feel to it and will be great in a summer composition. This bead measures an average of 14 mm high x 7 mm wide and retails for $36 / €33 / DKK 245.

Elfbeads Soft Love Dewdrops exudes passion with a beautiful red base, ambery colored clear glass with lavender iridescent buds. This bead measures approximately 15 mm high x 7 mm wide and retails for $31 / €28 / DKK 210.

The Nebula Twilight, Soft Love Dewdrops, and Magnolia Love Layers truly glow in this all gold-tone composition with Elfbeads Everscale BGP, Inner Star BPG on the Trollbeads Gold-Plated Twisted Bangle with Redbalifrog Brass Star Stoppers.

Wrist Shots!
