Barbärica is a stunning new brand currently offered at Beads Fanatic in Spain and distributed world-wide by the lovely Giovanni Romano. Now for a bit about the brand:

“Barbärica is fashion and jewelry brand focused on glass beads. It’s an enterprise by Ms. Barbara Garcia-Fresca, the sole proprietor of the brand. She is a Spanish artist based in Jerez de la Frontera, Andalucia. Her designs often reflect or are inspired by the unique characteristic of her region of land.

Barbara is an eclectic artist: designer, writer, painter and much more. She started to make beads to challenge to herself as an artist and designer. The versatility of glass is especially fitting for the task, because it allows her to experiment with forms and colors, a never-ending universe to explore! Each bead is painstakingly lamp-worked in her laboratory, now with brand new equipment and tools. But never ask her what ingredients she uses to concoct such fantastic and original works of art!

The challenge doubled not many months ago, when she decided to structure and commercialize her brand. With the help of her partner, Viktor, she ordered her existing designs in coherent series and started to plan the future releases. Now, with Giovanni Romano as exclusive international distributor, Barbärica moves one step further, allowing retailers all over the world to easily sell the Barbärica products, counting on a serious logistic, commercial and marketing support.”
