Today Beadsaholic brings a review and the news of a new Aurora Exclusive at Pianeta Beads!
I am excited to announce the latest Aurora Steampunk Owl exclusive at Pianeta Beads in Italy! This little owl is too cute for words and I adore his steampunk detailing.
Steampunk is inspired genre movement in creativity and imagination featuring basically modern technology powered by steam set in the 1800’s Victorian Era and/or the wild west which creates unique works of art whether it be in literature, art, jewelry or clothing. Most of us think of gears and such when we think of Steampunk style.
Aurora Charm Steampunk Owl is simply adorable with his top hat with goggles and leaves, gears on one side, he looks like he is wearing a rabbits foot on a chain, and is standing on a branch. This bead measures approximately 15.99 mm high x 9.68 mm wide and weighs 3.2 grams. Steampunk Owl is limited to two hundred (200) pieces and retails for €54.95, price includes vat.
A close up video review of Aurora Steampunk Owl.
I really love the look of the Steampunk Owl and was trying to think of compositions that really make him standout in his natural habitat. So, in this first composition I went simple with Ohm Beads Navy Leather and Ohm Beads We Learn As We Age (exclusive at Pianeta Beads). I really love the simplicity of this composition and the fact that it has such a steampunk vibe.
Of course, I think the Aurora Steampunk Owl looks amazing with these Dream Glass Art glass beads, Ohm Beads Luna, Quill on a Trollbeads Twisted Bangle with Fox Spacer and Lightning Bud Spacer.
Here I wanted to go all out Steampunk and realize I need more steampunk beads! I went with Ogerbeads Glass beads, Aurora Steampunk Owl, Ohm Beads We Learn as We Age and The Palace of Amber Timeless Treasure (Exclusive at Swiss Flower and Gift). This time I used the compass side of We Learn as We Age. I used a Bella Fascini twisted bangle in this composition.
Here I went all out Aurora! I love the Glass and Silver line from Aurora so much and I think these designs look so beautiful with the Aurora Steampunk Owl. All seen here on the Aurora Celtic Bangle. I think this composition has a Victorian vibe.
Wrist Shot!
Overall, If you love owls or steampunk then this bead is a must have. It’s not too big or too small, so should be just the right size for most collectors. This charm is compatible with all major brands.

Darn I am so disappointed! Just learned about Aurora Charm from your blog and they had two limited edition charms already sold out 😦 They were the Fairy of Unicorns and the Magic Cottage. I wrote to Aurora charm asking if they’d ever re-print those but I have a feeling the answer is no, and sadly there aren’t many (or any) people selling their stuff second hand because they aren’t as big as say Pandora. Darn!! I will have to purchase the steampunk owl ASAP before that one sells out too. Thanks for this great preview!

Send Pianeta Beads a message just to make sure they don’t have any stock at store level. Both are fantastic beads and I think you will like the steampunk owl.

Erika if you’re looking for a beautifully detailed Owl charm go online to Great Lakes Botique and check out “Noctis” by “The Palace of Amber” brand beads. I just got the duo-tone version of Noctis and I absolutely love it!

Oh yeah…..Paula I almost forgot to tell you how beautiful TPOA”s Timeless Treasures looks on your bracelet! I really like it, but was afraid it would look too large and bulky. I see now I was wrong and I just have to have one, maybe even the duo-tone! 😉 I Love your blog, it helps me make decisions like this; that way I don’t end up disappointed. 🙂
