  1. Hi Paula
here in AUSTRALIA our favourite family tradition is PAVLOVA!
It wouldn’t be an Aussie Christmas without one. 🇦🇺 😊

    • My family’s Christmas celebration is not complete without our traditional chocolate log cake, and we always decorate it with green trees made of frosting sprinkled with powdered sugar (snow) lol

  2. Oh help… I do not have a real food-tradition for christmas. In Holland we have 2 christmas days the 25th and 26nd and I am cooking and baking these days, what I love to do. To make everybody happy I will do one dinner with seafood / fish and the other day will be meat, but I haven’t thought about the details yet, maybe cheesecake or white chocolate mousse for desert…

  3. Chocolate, all of it, but mostly Lindt and Godiva; their Christmas boxes are amazing.

Btw, I’ve been reading your site for a while and I want to say that yours is one of the best out here for beads. I especially love how you give the bead dimensions, information I’m always looking for but rarely find elsewhere. Absolutely great.

  5. Not very Christmas-y (or Dutch), but Indonesian rice table! My grandpa would spend days in the kitchen cooking up a feast, and the amazing food we had then are some of my best childhood memories.

  6. Hmmm I love anything having to do with bread or sweets. But I LOVE the family activity of making cookies for others during the holidays so that would probably be my favorite tradition 🙂

  7. Every Christmas I make Beef Wellington for dinner. It’s a little expensive, and a bit of a pain, but in my family food is love and we work together to make it.
I also always make cinnamon rolls Christmas morning to wake everyone up. I love the smell as they cook and who can do anything but love a fresh cinnamon roll?

  8. We celebrate a number of holidays at this time of year and often the holidays overlap. Food is probably our most important aspect of these holidays so we end up combining holiday foods like latkes stuffed with christmas items like ham or duck. Jelly donuts made with a gingerbread twist. Matzo ball soup for christmas dinner. Its all wonderfully mixed up.

  9. Can’t have a holiday dinner with roasted ham! Although I believe the real food tradition in my family is to leave a little of each dish on the plate to symbolize an abundance.
