OHM Beads Marble the Ponycampus Review

Today Beadsaholic brings a review of OHM Beads Marble the Ponycampus.

Today saw the release of OHM Beads Marble The Ponycampus designed by Grace Owen. Marble the Ponycampus is limited to one hundred and eleven (111) beads and is the latest of the OHMistry projects.

“OHMist Bio:

Grace is a UK based artist and a self-proclaimed pencil fanatic. She has a strong passion for traditional art and frequently works in mixed media of watercolour, gouache and coloured pencils. Her artwork themes draw from a blend of both the natural world and fantasy worlds.

From the OHMist:

My design for this bead is based on the concept of a traditional mythological creature in a modern-day world. In ancient Greek legend the Hippocampus is an aquatic creature with the upper body of a horse with the tail of a fish and pulls the chariot of the sea god Poseidon. In this iteration, I re-imagined this creature as it has come to be now: a human-bred strain popular as pets amongst children. Cute and stubby this little fantail ponycampus makes a jolly and easygoing first pet, happily swimming in the tanks of many a child’s bedroom. “

OHM Beads Marble the Ponycampus is a half horse and what looks to be half goldfish, known as a Hippocampus in Greek legend. The detailing on this bead is fabulous! I’d love to see more beads based on Greek mythology. This bead measures approximately 20.97 mm high x 7.03 mm wide and retails for $65.

I’m including several photos to show this bead at every angle.

I decided to use this bead in a sea theme to go along with the fish part of the bead, but would so love more of a mythology theme. All beads featured are OHM Beads.

Same bracelet at a different angle so that you can see all the beads I used a bit better.

Of course, the Marble the Ponycampus makes the perfect focal bead in this composition with OHM Beads glass beads.

Wrist Shot!

Overall, this is an amazing bead that will make the perfect addition to any collection, especially anyone who loves something different or loves Greek Mythology.

If you would like to purchase this bead you will only find it on OHM Beads Website < click.

As always, I enjoy hearing from you all and would love to know your thoughts on this bead? Do you enjoy these types of releases? Leave me a comment below ❤

Paula
