Today Beadsaholic brings a review of Arhaik Aleksey the Hedgehog, an exclusive at Story in the Bead.

Story in the Bead is a quaint little shop in the Czech Republic with a wide variety of bead brands. The owners are truly lovely and always happy to help. I have featured their shop here on the blog the last few years and I have found not only are they the sweetest, but they have an undying love for Hedgehogs. In fact, their logo even features a hedgehog. If you, too love Hedgehogs, then I’m sure you would love to know that on the Story in the Bead website there is a whole section dedicated to these cute creatures. You will find so many different glass and silver hedgehogs made by different artist. Which brings me to today’s Aleksey the Hedgehog by the Russian artist Arhaik made exclusively for Story in the Bead.

If you have been collecting a few years chances are you know exactly who Arhaik is. His beads have been coveted by many collectors. Arhaik designs are detailed and unique. It is exciting to finally have a piece of his art. If you are not familiar with this artist, then I highly recommend you take a look at his work on Instagram.

Aleksey the Hedgehog is a cute chubby limited sterling silver hedgehog that is laying on his back with his legs and tail by his stomach. He has such a cute little face and his back is covered in quills. The bead is a nice weight and balances well on a bracelet or bangle. This little guy measures approximately 15.89 mm high x 14.67 mm wide. Aleksey the Hedgehog retails for CZK 1,800 / €68.80

I’ve created a few composition with this cute Hedgehog and I hope you like them.

In this first composition I was inspired by nature. I went with Elfbeads glass beads, which are available at Story in the Bead, 4 unique Hedgehog, Aleksey the Hedgehog on a Trollbeads bangle with Phya and TPOA stoppers.

These cute little hedgehogs, all exclusives at Story in the Bead are playing in this colorful flower garden. In this garden you will finds Elfbeads Flower Twigs, Redbalifrog Daisy Chain and Cherry Blossom, Argo Snowdrops on a Trollbeads bracelet and finished off with the Rose lock from TPOA.

Over all, this is such an adorable bead that will live happily in any collection! It has a universal core and will fit all major brands.
