Aurora Hiva Oa Island and Manihi Island Review

Today Beadsaholic brings a review of Aurora Manihi Island and Hiva Oa Island.

Aurora has debuted two new sea glass beads available for preorder July 5, 2021 and set to release on July 19, 2021. This new release joins the Glass and Silver Collection, alongside previously released sea glass Bora Bora Island and Tahiti Island (review for the previous release can be seen here).

I am beyond excited to announce these two new sea glass beads and personally love these designs. Though the Aurora sea glass is hand made, it resembles the beauty of weathered glass that has been tumbled along the ocean floor, the sand giving the glass a frosted look.

Aurora Hiva Oa Island is a beautiful Yellow Sea glass that gives off the glow of a warm summer day and is the perfect addition to this collection. I love that the yellow glows beneath the beautiful frosted glass. The cores have the same motif of Maori ocean waves just as the other three sea glass beads. All are the same size of 12 mm high x 10 mm wide. Hiva Oa Island retails for €36.95, price includes vat.

Aurora Manihi Island is a stunning Red Sea glass with decorative sterling silver core caps with the same Motif of Maori ocean waves. This is a beautiful shade of red, which is perfect for an island theme. This bead and the four beads in this collection are a nice size of 12 mm high x 10mm wide. Manihi Island retails for €36.95, price includes vat.

The new sea glass will mix with just about any brand on the market. All are beautiful and fit all major brand carriers, but I couldn’t help but mix some of Aurora most beautiful beads here together. I am loving these beads together. Below you will find Aurora Tahiti Island, Irish Celtic Eternity, Hiva Oa Island, Lover’s Song, Manihi Island, Lucidity and Bora Bora Island.

Another mix of Aurora playing on the red and yellow tones with Aurora Yellow and Red Stoppers, Lover’s Song, Hiva Oa Island, Frangipani Red & Yellow Flower, Manihi Island, and Irish Celtic Eternity all on the Hawaiian Bangle.

I’ve been playing and mixing my beads with X Jewellery links. In this composition I mixed several brands. On the X chains I’ve mixed Trollbeads small round Garnet and Labradorite with Nami Citrine spacers and dangles, Niwabeads Spacers with Aurora Hiva Oa Island and Manihi Island, the Focal is OHM Beads Stay Grounded on prototype bar, I’ve used spring links to attach to the X Jewellery. I’ve used both Bordeaux and Mellow Yellow rubber links in this design. I really love how it’s turned out and look forward to playing more with these.

Wrist Shots!

This is the X design above. In this wrist shot you can’t see the Aurora beads, but I promise they look so nice on the wrist in this design.

Overall, if you love the look of sea glass then these are a must and will fit into your collection perfectly! Though they are Island inspired designs, the colors will fit into absolutely any design as you can see above.

You can preorder these designs today and they will be available on July 19, 2021. Below you can find links to featured Aurora Retailers.
