Today Beadsaholic brings a review of Black Raven Beads Van Gogh Collection.

Yesterday saw the release of the latest Black Raven Beads Van Gogh Collection. In this collection you will find five new pieces inspired by Van Gogh most renown works of art Starry Nights and Sunflowers.

Van Gogh may have been considered a Mad man due to his onset mental illness of Dementia, but he found a way to express himself through his paintings. Through Art we are vulnerable and share a part of our soul. His work is still speaking to us over a 100 years later. I have long admired his work and he is one of my favorite artist. I am so happy to have this collection that was inspired by the beauty he saw and painted.

“Follow your passion. – Vincent Willem van Gogh was a Dutch painter who became famous after his death. He had a turbulent life. In a fit of dementia, he cut off his left ear. It was the first of a series of breakdowns. He was convinced that painting would help him to heal. Vincent painted works of art that expressed his feelings. The colours and shapes do not always correspond to reality but fit his feelings and thoughts. That was special in his time. His painting Starry Night is one of the world’s most famous works of art. Vincent didn’t like it and even considered it a failure. The painting is now on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Vincent is also famous for his paintings of sunflowers. Sunflowers symbolize gratitude to him. Vincent van Gogh painted for 10 years, passing away in 1890 when he was 37. He is considered one of the greatest painters of all time. Black Raven Beads Van Gogh Starry Nights is a stunning glass bead with swirls in shades of blue on a white base and bits of yellow spread about the design. The glass has a solid core that will fit all major brands and measures approximately 15 x 8, but size will vary due to being handcrafted. Van Gogh Starry Nights retail for €48 / $46.

Black Raven Beads Van Gogh Sunflowers is the perfect companion to Starry Nights. It is an abstract design with a white base, swirls of blue, yellow and orange. Size varies due to being handmade, but both my glass beads are the same size. Van Gogh Sunflowers retail for €48 / $46.

Black Raven Beads Van Gogh Starry Nights is a beautiful replica in sterling silver that as you turn the bead you will find stunning Starry Night details all the way around. This is truly a work of art. Starry Night measures approximately 11x10x11 and retails for €45 / $43.

Black Raven Beads Van Gogh Starry Night Stopper matches the Starry Night bead perfectly. I find these stoppers to fit tightly on a bangle and bracelets. Each stopper measures approximately 10x4x10 and retails for €28 / $27.

Black Raven Beads Van Gogh Sunflowers is a stunning sterling silver with sunflowers throughout and on one side is a painter’s Palette. It is orb shape just like Starry Night and measures approximately 11x10x11 and retails for €45 / $43.

Now for some inspiring fun! Sunflowers are beautiful and bright like the sun and symbolize loyalty and adoration. In composition I mixed the Black Raven Van Gogh Sunflowers with Trollbeads sunflower and glass beads.

In this composition it’s all about Van Gogh and his two renown paintings Sunflower and Starry Night. I’ve placed all beads on the Trollbeads Art to Go bracelet. I’ve mixed Black Raven with Trollbeads, PHYA, 2GemBeads, and The Palace of Amber.

This collection will also fit in with celestial designs. I’ve matched this collection with some Trollbeads and PHYA Jewelry.

Of course, I love wearing all the art beads together and inspired by the glass beads I added in some Trollbeads Glass and Stone, as well as stones from PHYA. All silvers are Art inspired by Black Raven, Trollbeads, and Lundd.

Overall, this is such an amazing release. I am a huge Art lover and these were a must have for me. Whether you are an art fan or not, I think you will find that these designs will fit in perfectly in any collection.
