Black Raven Beads Frida Skull is such a cool sugar skull! Sugar skulls are deeply rooted in Mexican culture and is a reminder and celebration of life. Each year sugar skulls are decorated in memory of past loved ones, on this day Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) which is a celebration that follows All Saints’ Day. Skulls are brightly painted with bright colors, floral designs and each one is different. “Bridging life and the eternal”

I had a little play with other beads from Black Raven and a couple mixes with other brands.

In this simple bangle I was thinking the bright colors of the Bumble Bee Jasper would be nice flanking Frida.

Here in soft pink and purple pastels I created a bangle stack using Frida and Frida Skull as focals. Paired with Black Raven and Phya stoppers.

For this bracelet I wanted beautiful feminine bright colors that really stand out, so I choose several Elfbeads Blush glass beads, all silvers are Black Raven beads and I stuck with flowers to go with the three Frida designs. I really love how this bracelet turned out. As you can see Black Raven mixes so well with Elfbeads.

In this composition I wanted to focus on Casa Azul inspired by the home of Frida Kahlo.

Black Raven gemstones are so delicious! Mixed here with the Frida Kahlo Collection and flowers. All beads and lock used are Black Raven Beads.

Overall, this is a fantastic addition to the Frida Kahlo Collection. A very empowering release that inspires. I think you will find that these beads will fit into any collection.
