Spiritbeads Chinese Lion and Dragon Ball Review

Today Beadsaholic brings a review of Spiritbeads Chinese Lion and Dragon Ball.

Spiritbeads has released two beads that are perfect for any Asian themed bracelet, the Chinese Lion and Dragon Ball.

The Chinese Lion is a traditional statue usually made of stone and stands outside buildings and homes to guard and protect. Also, known as Shishi, Foo Dogs or Lion Dogs and is said to protect the building from harmful spiritual influences and those who mean to cause harm.  These lions can be seen throughout Asia.

Dragons are considered to symbolize power, strength and good luck.

Spiritbeads Chinese Lion is a lion statue traditionally dressed with one paw sitting on top of a ball. This bead is made of sterling silver with lots of details all the way around. Chinese Lion measures approximately 15.10 mm high x 9.46 mm wide and retails for €55, price include vat.

Spiritbeads Dragon Ball is a sterling silver orb shaped bead that has a dragon wrapped all the way around. This bead is limited to only one hundred and fifty (150) pieces. Dragon Ball measures approximately 14.56 mm high x 12.35 mm wide and retails for €65, price include vat.

Here is a quick YouTube Video look at both these beads.

Now for some compositions.

In this first composition I went with traditional New Year’s colors of Red and Gold with Dream Glass Art Glass beads, Two Pandora Star Clips, Spiritbeads Dragon Ball, Chinese Lion, Endless Knot, and Chinese Lucky Coin on a Red Pandora Leather.

The Trollbeads Kimono glass kit are some of my favorite Troll glass beads, sadly they are long retired and were limited when released. I’m hoping to add a few more to my collection at some point. I love them for an Asian theme, and I wear these quite a bit.

Starting at the Trollbeads Flow Lock clockwise are Spiritbeads Lucky Chinese Coin, Maneki-Neko, Bamboo, Chinese Lion, Teahouse, Dragon Ball, Bamboo, and Bonsai on a Trollbeads Bracelet.

Overall, both beads are lovely and are a great addition to any collection. If you collect dragons, you will want to pick up the Dragon Ball for sure. I love the Asian culture and have been wanting a Chinese Lion for some time now, I am happy to add this one to my bracelet and my collection.
